JEFF OCTOBER 2022 TRIP

a man holding a fish in the water

Jeff Wuest, a client since 2002, visited Key West in mid October 2022, with some great friends to go fishing for a few days. After trolling for mahi met with little success, the group decided to drop some bonita strips for amberjacks, mutton’s, grouper’s, and sharks at one of the deep wrecks. On the first day, they caught a sandbar shark, a bull shark, and a scalloped hammerhead. On the second day of fishing the group headed to a different wreck in more shallow water, and dropped some squid, catching an African Pompano weighting 28 lbs. It was the first that Jeff had landed, and he is having a replica mount of the trophy fish. To finish off the three day fishing trip, the group took the Pompano fillets to the Hurricane Hole restaurant, and had it cooked three different ways-blackened, grilled, and fried-along with some cocktails. Jeff was so pleased with his experience that he is already planning his next visit to Key West to go fishing again. See you soon Jeff.
