Tarpon Fishing Key WestDay & Night Tarpon Charters
Tarpon are one of the most exciting fish you can catch. They hit hard, run fast, and jump high. We run day and night trips so you can fish when it works best for you.
Why Tarpon Fishing in Key West is So Special
Tarpon are big, strong, and put up an incredible fight. They jump out of the water, make long runs, and test every angler who hooks one. Key West is one of the best places in the world to catch them.
Our crew has over 60 years on these waters. We know where tarpon feed, when they move, and how to put you on the fish. If the bite slows down, we switch things up and keep your trip exciting.
Tarpon Fishing Season in Key West
You can catch tarpon year-round in Key West, but some months are better than others.
Peak Season (April – July)
This is when tarpon flood into Key West. You'll see the most fish, get the most bites, and have the best shot at a big one.
Year-Round Fishing
Tarpon don't leave Key West. Outside peak season we adjust our spots and tactics. If tarpon are slow, we mix in other species to keep rods bent.
Day vs Night Tarpon Fishing
We run both day and night tarpon trips. Each one feels completely different.
Day Tarpon Fishing
During the day, we fish the backcountry and harbor where tarpon feed in clear water. You can see the fish, watch them eat, and feel every bit of the fight. Great for anyone who likes classic sight fishing.

After dark, tarpon feed hard under bridge lights and dock lights. The cooler air and aggressive bites make night fishing a favorite for many anglers. It works well for all skill levels.

Our Approach to Catch and Release
We release every tarpon we catch. Years ago, people kept them. Today, we know better. Releasing tarpon keeps the fishery strong for years to come.
Here's how we do it:
- Get the fish back in the water fast
- Keep fight times as short as possible
- Reduce the chance of sharks going after tired fish
This gives every tarpon the best chance to swim away strong after the fight.
A Legacy of Tarpon Fishing
Our family has been fishing Key West for over 60 years. The owner caught his biggest tarpon at age 13 — a 188-pounder back in 1971 when fish were still weighed on a dock scale. That kind of experience is hard to find.
Today, we share that same love of tarpon fishing with every guest who steps on board.
Boats That Run Tarpon Trips
